Seattle Laptop has been in business since 1996. Our company has grown from a where we started in a 2 bedroom apartment on Greenwood (10709 Greenwood Ave North) to a great location at the corner of 76th and Aurora. We just celebrated 21 years in business, helping thousands of our "friends" with their laptop, desktop, MacBook and Apple problems. We have also sold tens of thousands of laptops and desktops, and continue to this day selling and supporting all types of PC and Apple products. All of our merchandise is sold with a warranty, and customer satisfaction has always been our number one goal. For anyone who has done business with our company there is one thing these folks have experienced at Seattle Laptop. We do all we can to offer our customers the best value possible.
The cost of repairing some laptops and MacBooks may be high, and we will assess every customer's situation and try to find the best solutions for their problem. Whether it is repairing their current laptop/computer/MacBook, or helping them switch to a newer machine, and copying their data, there are a lot of factors to be considered. We take the time to find the solution that has the potential to have the best outcome for every customer/friend.
Every customer's needs are different, and we truly try to find the best solution for each and every one and have a hundred ways at our disposal where we can help. From low cost refurbished parts for older machines, to shell swaps where we put a customer's hard drive into a different laptop or MacBook, we can usually make the best of almost any bad situation.
In may cases the cost of repairing an older MacBook may be so high we will recommend not repairing it. If a laptop has been heavily used, and you can tell it has, and we think it needs an expensive repair, we may recommend a customer does not repair it, save up, and find a newer machine. We always want our customers/friends to be happy. If they spend a significant amount of money on a heavily used Macbook, and they then have another problem in a short time, their money will not have been well spent.
We offer our expert opinion in every situation. What we like to say to a customer is sometimes a Macbook is so old, or the problem may be so expensive to repair we don't recommend fixing it. Sometimes the MacBook is newer, and has significant value, and repairing it is a no brainer, and sometimes a repair would be borderline. We take the time to find out our customer's needs, and help them make the decision whether not not to repair their Mac. We will do this by explaining all of the options, and potential costs of repair, and let them decide what will work best for them.
In some cases we will determine the cost of repairing a MacBook may be too high and we will then make an offer to buy the laptop for parts, and recover their data.
After serving customers for over 21 years, what works best is giving good advice when it comes to repairing their MacBooks. Even if the advics is "don't give Seattle Laptop a dime" that's fine. Earning a customer's trust is more important then doing repairs that may not be the best path forward for our friends. Honesty and integrity are our values.
