MacBook Magsafe Port Problems
Quite often we have customers come into Seattle Laptop / MacBook Repair Seattle because they want to purchase a charger, or Magsafe Adapter for their MacBook. Their machine is not charging. We check out their MacBook and yes, it isn't charging. Why? Not because of the adapter, but because we find an obstruction in the charging port, or because the port needs cleaned.
It took a while because of the magnetic pull, but I was able to remove a staple the other day from a customer's MacBook charging port and they didn't need an adapter. That's right, there was a staple stuck in their Magsafe port we were able to remove.
In other cases we find lint, and buildup in the port, and it simply needs to be cleaned. If your MacBook isn't getting power check the port and make sure it just doesn't need to be cleaned.
