At MacBook Repair Seattle / Seattle Laptop our company tries to always deliver to our customers the very best value possible. The best value when it comes to repairing, servicing, or upgrading our customer's MacBooks, iMacs, and Mac Pro's. It is always important for us to fully understand our customer's needs, and what they plan on using their MacBook, or Mac for. Once we understand what jobs they would like to do with their Macs, we can assess their repair needs, purchase needs, or applicable upgrade options. We then try to deliver the most value for the buck spent in our store.
Sometimes a Mac simply needs a little (or a lot) more ram to function better. In other cases the machine's performance would be increased more by cloning the hard drive to a new solid state hard drive.
Every customer's situation is different. It is always important to us to have our customers understand the fact that we are trying to deliver the best experience possible to them once they decide to have us help them with all of their Mac problems.
When it comes to doing tasks, and running applications, it is better to determine what you want to run, or use the Mac for, and then we can find the correct machine with adequate power, speed, storage, or memory. If someone wants to have a huge music library, a nice MacBook Air with a 120 Gb SSD hard drive probably won't be their best option, even though they thought they wanted an air. Upgrading the hard drive on a MacBook Air is very expensive so it is better to find another solution if you want storage space. You can always add memory cards to the MacBook Air's for some additional storage, but that option should be discussed.
The point is we want to deliver for our customers the best outcome possible, and not waste their time recommending they purchase a MacBook that won't do what they need done.
As far as delivering value, each situation is different. Some customers have a limited budget, and we can try to find them a machine that will suit their needs for a low of a cost as possible, and still offer a warranty, and lifetime tech support.
Everyone is different, as so are their needs, but delivering value is our goal every time.
